Retreat to the peace and quiet of Florence House, which sits close to the sea, high on the brow of Seaford Head, in six acres of grounds on the edge of the Seven Sisters National Park. There are stunning coastal walks to Birling Gap from the doorstep.

The weekend is a good mix of Yoga asana (postures), Pranayama (breath work), Meditation and Yoga Nidra (the deepest relaxation). Susan brings a wealth of yoga experience and knowledge to the weekend. Along with complete relaxation and rejuvenation, you will have the opportunity to experience some silent space, ask specific questions about your own practice or health and find out more about the subtle aspects of Yoga on and off the mat. You will leave armed with a deeper understanding and confidence to enhance your practice on all levels.

Florence House is well known for its fantastic vegetarian food. The cosy bedrooms all have views of the grounds or Seaford Head. The yoga room is huge and light-filled. The house also has a large lounge with a log fire to enjoy.

Price – Standard price £349 for a shared room (twin/double/triple). Single rooms are available at a supplement, please contact Sue for information.

    I always return from Sarah and Sue’s yoga retreats feeling reawakened and restored – both physically and mentally. It is clear that they put a lot of effort into planning the retreat to make sure there is the right balance of dynamic yoga practice and opportunities to quieten the mind with breathing and meditation practice.

    I like the fact that there is a real mix of people and abilities and that Sue and Sarah take care to help people work within their own capabilities. And they will also guide you out of your comfort zone to try new things, if you are up for it.

    Weekends at Florence House are my opportunities to recharge, learn new things and get my sense of perspective back, sharing a few days with lovely, lively and fun people. What’s not to like?!

    Thank you for a very special weekend. We did so much which was wonderful; the candle gazing, chanting and drumming as well as the yoga and meditation. I loved it all and feel completely refreshed and revitalised.

    It was lovely to see again some of the people who had attended last year and also to meet new people too. Should you decide to book a weekday break next year you can definitely count me in.

    You complement each other so well. You bring different attributes to the sessions from which we all benefit immensely. Behind that cool, calm exterior that makes us feel that running the weekend is a breeze for you both I am sure there was a huge amount of work that went into making it a seamless few days. I hope you are having a well earned rest for a couple of days at least.

    Just wanted to thank you again for organising a great weekend. I found it very relaxing and invigorating and definitely feel better for it! Florence house is lovely, very comfy and welcoming and the food was delicious.
