Meet Sue Smith
Hi I’m Sue,
I work as a Psychotherapist, Hypnotherapist, Life Coach and trainer, specialising in Stress Management. I’ve also taught hatha yoga for the past twenty-five years.
With over twenty-eight years of experience in helping people overcome addictions, combat stress, develop more self-confidence and discover their inner peace. I have a particular passion for emotional growth work, which includes anger management, anxiety and dumping the FAGS that is, excessive Fear, Anger Guilt and Shame.
My site offers mind hacks,information and support programs to help you move toward a better sense of wellbeing. This includes addressing anxiety, panic attacks, depression, weight loss, work, performance issues, relationships and anything else that stresses you out!

In addition to my professional experience, I have been on the other side of this and in the past suffered from anxiety, depression and IBS (only it wasn’t called that when I was younger!) I also had a series of illnesses that were directly related to stress including a collapsed lung three times! I have through my own journey recovered from all of these and am probably healthier now than I’ve ever been. I’m really happy to share the tools for change that made my life happier and healthier.

What can I say? I am a big fan of Sue, having attended her classes whenever I could for the last 17 years, the only thing that ever stopped me was work. So a big positive of the strange situation we all now find ourselves in, is that Sue’s classes are more accessible to me (thanks to Zoom and home working). From Gloom To Sunshine – Coaching & Therapy
I met Sue three years ago while I was working for a narcissist boss and in an abusive marriage. Being abused as a child had left me not knowing how to set boundaries or be assertive.
I decided to get help therefore started exploring options for a suitable therapist. I came across many profiles however Sue’s profile stood out the most and I contacted her.

The above is an excellent Hatha Yoga teacher , always giving clear verbal instructions and demonstrations of various yoga poses being mindful of individuals past history of injuries ,operations or ill health plus will always give alternative poses more suitable for the individual . Since Lockdown and Zoom classes the above attributes have become even more essential – especially now when almost everyone is focussed on physical , mental and emotional health & wellbeing . Also because of Sue’s occupation as a Psychotherapist and counsellor her classes have an extra dimension which adds to one’s general sense of wellbeing following her classes. I would readily recommend any person to her classes which are always varied and suited to any level of yoga & meditation plus they are great value for money –
I don’t know how Sue’s session worked, only that it definitely did!
Any situation which involves me experiencing nerves of any kind; whether it’s for an interview or meeting or a public speaking event, has seen my body seriously over react. Generally this involves my bowels going nuts, my temperature being all over the place and my voice going incredibly shaky. I was preparing for one such situation when a friend told me about Sue. With nothing to lose, I called and had a one hour session over the phone. It was a surreal process but initially, I didn’t feel like anything had changed. However, as the event drew nearer, rather than my usual stress response, I found myself feeling calm and even looking forward to it. The event went off without a hitch and I actually even managed to enjoy it. I don’t know how Sue’s session worked, only that it definitely did!

In One Session!
I thought you’d like an update on how I’m doing with my thumbs after our session two weeks ago. I’m really pleased to say that I haven’t picked my thumbs once, I’m so happy to be able to say that! I haven’t wanted to at all, and I’ve been using an emery board like you suggested if I ever feel any roughness which was a great tip and has also helped.
I cannot tell you the last time I’ve gone this long without picking at my thumbs. I’m absolutely delighted – thank you so much.
I should probably have said that I also had a big deadline at work during this two week period, and our fridge freezer suddenly stopped working so it’s been a good test of my stress levels!

I really like the way the course focuses on positivity right from day one
Sue recognises that confidence is a key part of the journey. That happy people lose weight. Not people who’ve been told they’re fat, useless, ugly. No. I felt like at times we were going quite fast with things, but that was down to me because I was keen to work intensively and I think I got ahead of myself.
I found the sessions extremely helpful, and also enjoyed doing the homework as a form of maintenance in between. I would definitely recommend Sue to friends who have issues they want to work on and overcome.

A Real Lesson in TRUST!
In the Create The Life You Want To Live workshop, with Susan Smith, I wanted to bring “financial stability, yoga retreats, and also trips to beautiful places that were free or I didn’t have to break the bank to get!” At first I was having a hard time landing on a clear definition of those things… I couldn’t see the connection, but wrote it all down and visualized these things anyway. I placed the torn magazine page with a tropical island view and wrote the words “TRIPS, YOGA, VACATION, FINANCIAL FREEDOM” on my wall and I look at it everyday. Shortly after the workshop, a client offered me a fully paid week in Bermuda to go to a conference and network with people who can also be potential clients for me. To me, that feels like financial progress, a free trip to a beautiful place, and now I feel more confident in asking for what, even if it doesn’t make a lot of sense to me at the time! I have been working with Sue for the past seven years. Sue is my miracle worker not only have I over come hundreds of limiting beliefs and personal challenges. Sue has helped me grow in self confidence, self esteem, self worth, self belief and to love myself. To build goals, believe in myself have vision and dreams and more importantly achieve them.

I have been practicing yoga for the past 7 years in Bromley since I moved to this area. At first I tried a number of different teachers with various styles but finally found myself drawn to Sue and have been practicing yoga with her for a few years now.
Sue is a considerate and passionate teacher and is always willing to share her knowledge and wisdom with her students. She has much empathy and an understanding of many ailments and what is best for the student. She is thoughtful and inspirational guiding her students through the lessons, always correcting our positions as she watches us.
Nowadays working on line on zoom her instruction are clear and precise, enabling us to even practice with our eyes closed if desired. She often demonstrates, talking us through every move making the lessons suitable for beginners and the more experienced. Her classes are light hearted as is her personality and this makes for an enjoyable one hour session which often goes over as she is so generous with her time. Sue is an extremely dedicated teacher and it is obvious she loves her work. I, personally don’t know what I would have done without her over this past difficult year.

Working with Sue has been nothing short of life changing – my outlook on life, my relationship with myself and my life circumstances have transformed during the time I have worked with her.
Sue is compassionate, warm, relatable and non-judgemental – she makes you feel at ease and is flexible in her approach and style during sessions, adapting to what you most need.
Prior to contacting Sue, I had been apprehensive about going back into therapy, having found previous therapy sessions, anxiety inducing and not providing me with permanent shifts I had hoped for – sessions with Sue are completely different traditional talking therapy, and her approach focuses on letting go of past trauma and negative programming, helping you reach a place where these no longer control how you live and feel; all of which is done in a way which feels approachable and non-intimidating, albeit different to what you may be used to.
For anyone uncertain, I would urge you to arrange a call with Sue – the moment I spoke to her, I knew I wanted to work together and had complete trust that she understood me, my needs, and would support me in getting to where I wanted to be. I can say with confidence that my instinct was right, and I am sure sessions for anyone else who decides to work with Sue will be just as transformational.
